All About Babies

Speaking of Babies...

This weeks photo challenge for the website I HEART FACES is "All About Babies!!"

So I dug into my archive and pulled out my favorite baby picture. The story behind it goes something like this:

I was 9 months pregnant and researching baby photographers online to find that ONE that I wanted to take pictures of my new baby. And low and behold, I found her. I was in love with her work. I even contacted her regarding the potential newborn session.

Then our beautiful baby Brady was born. It was then.. at that moment... the husband and father of our bundle of joy, chooses to break the news to me. He proceeds to tell me that he bought me this nice, fancy, expensive camera for Christmas so that I could take my own pictures.

My heart was crushed.

Wow!! I am not a professional photographer. How was I going to get those adorable, once in a lifetime shots?? The pressure was on...

But I attempted.

And this is what I got.

Babies are just so darn cute!!!

Senior Portraits

Yay for this bright girl. She just turned 17 and is graduating a year ahead of schedule from high school and headed off to college in the fall. This was my first "official" senior portrait session. I know, I know, I have a ways to go, but I have to start somewhere.

I recently had the opportunity to do my first EVER maternity photo shoot. I was really nervous. We assessed the lighting at the house the week prior to discover the best room at the perfect time of day.

These were a couple of my favorite. I'd love to know what you think of them.

SMILE

Baby Brady is his daddy's little clone, all the way from their looks down to their love for Ol Billy, our 1973 orange Ford Bronco. Nothing makes this little guy smile more than playing in Ol Billy. And nothing makes his mommy smile more than taking pictures of her baby smiling.

Jump for Joy!!

It has been a while since I have entered a photo in the I heart photo weekly photo contest. This week is all about JUMPING.

During this particular photo session, my subjects just wanted to JUMP. It makes me laugh every time I look at it. Super fun...
